Voice Agents
Voice & Dialect Settings
Choosing how your agent sounds, which register it answers in, and how it handles the dialects and vocabulary of your callers.
How an agent sounds is part of your brand. These settings are agreed with your Sarj deployment team and can be adjusted after launch.
The voice
Choose a voice that fits your brand and your callers. A bank may want a calm, formal voice; a delivery service, a quicker and friendlier one. Your deployment team will share options to listen to before you decide.
Register
Dialect replies
The agent answers in a natural Saudi dialect, which feels closest to speaking with a local member of staff.
Modern Standard Arabic replies
A formal register for organisations whose communication is in MSA, such as some government services.
English
For callers who start in English or ask for it. Sarj also follows callers who mix Arabic and English.
Understanding callers
Whatever register the agent speaks in, it understands callers in Najdi, Hijazi and Gulf dialects and MSA. See Supported Arabic Dialects.
Pronunciation and vocabulary
Brand names, product names and local place names should be said the way your customers say them. Share a list with your deployment team, including any terms the agent should never use, so recognition and pronunciation can be tuned for your domain.
